AC Schnitzer performance upgrades include a comprehensive assembly guarantee of up to 5 years from the date of initial registration, depending on the country.

AC Schnitzer homologation certificates enable the legal operation of vehicles in Germany and many other countries after the installation of AC Schnitzer products.

An AC Schnitzer homologation certificate, which we supply with most of our AC Schnitzer products, enables our customers to continue to move their vehicle legally on the road. In many cases, it is sufficient to carry this report with you - no further activities are required.

On some products it is necessary to perform an individual testing on the vehicle. This individual inspection may be carried out by official inspection persons which have suitable personnel.

The installation of several AC Schnitzer products in a vehicle can also make it necessary to additionally test the possibility of combining different individual products. This inspection shall also be carried out by official inspections which have suitable staff.

After these individual approvals, it may also become necessary to enter the changes in the vehicle documents. These amendments shall be made by the approval authorities.

Your AC Schnitzer partner will be happy to support you throughout the entire implementation process, from consulting and installation to technical acceptance.

 

Fitting an AC Schnitzer product does in principle not lead to an exclusion of warranty and guarantee claims against the vehicle seller or the vehicle manufacturer.

The basic warranty obligation of a vehicle manufacturer with regard to the entire vehicle is not affected by a conversion with AC Schnitzer products.

Only in the case of a warranty case that is directly attributable to a modification can the warranty for this special case can be excluded.

Vehicles refined with AC Schnitzer products are therefore not automatically excluded from the warranty.

In individual cases, however, individual warranty or guarantee claims may be impaired by the installation of AC Schnitzer products.

All AC Schnitzer products come with a two-year warranty.

AC Schnitzer performance enhancements additionally include a comprehensive assembly guarantee of up to 5 years from the date of initial registration and up to a maximum mileage of 60,000 (M models) or 100,000 km, depending on the country.

AC Schnitzer products can affect the voluntary goodwill of the vehicle seller or the vehicle manufacturer.

All voluntary services of a vehicle seller or a vehicle manufacturer after expiry of the statutory warranty period or after expiry of the promised warranty are at the discretion of the goodwill provider. A claim to goodwill is therefore generally never given.

In individual cases, goodwill promises can be handled differently by the installation of AC Schnitzer products than it would be the case with similar vehicles without AC Schnitzer products.

 

AC Schnitzer products can lead to changes in insurance premium. They must be reported to the vehicle insurer in order to obtain insurance cover.

The installation of AC Schnitzer performance enhancements changes the performance of the vehicle, and thus, if necessary, the basis for calculating the premium ratings of the vehicle insurers. Before installing an AC Schnitzer increase in performance, please communicate with your insurance company about the planned change so that you do not endanger your insurance cover. The insurance company will check individually whether the additional benefit will lead to an adjustment of the insurance premium.
